If according to the washing instructions of a cotton garment, it should not be used with bleach, then...?

if the garment gets a stain on it, and I took it to the dry cleaners and they said they would (or) could use safety bleach to try and get/remove the stain out/or lessen the appearance of it, is that a good idea, - considering (although, it was now done a week ago at the dry cleaners) the washing instructions state that the garment not be used with bleach (Do not bleach - to be precise)

Also, would a safety bleach treatment, possibly or tend to lighten or fade coloured clothes/garments?If according to the washing instructions of a cotton garment, it should not be used with bleach, then...?
Safety bleach is oxygen bleach, which is usually okay on cotton.

When a garment says ';do not bleach'; the manufacturer usually means chlorine bleach, which is far harsher. Chlorine bleach will remove dyes and damage fibres.

These are actually different chemicals. If according to the washing instructions of a cotton garment, it should not be used with bleach, then...?
I would use the tide stick and if that doesnt work just a color safe bleach. I use color safe bleach on my cotton clothes if I need to for stains and such and they seem to be okay. Just don't use it every time you wash them. Those Tide sticks work really really well! Hope that helps!
